01 - Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for 2 minutes until translucent.
02 - Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
03 - Stir in the garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
04 - Push the beef mixture to one side of the skillet. Add the remaining tablespoon of oil and the broccoli florets. Sauté for 2–3 minutes, then stir everything together.
05 - Add 2–3 tablespoons of water, cover, and steam the broccoli for 3–4 minutes until just tender.
06 - Reduce heat to low. Stir in the cream cheese until melted and well combined.
07 - Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the skillet. Cover and let sit 2–3 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
08 - Serve hot, garnished with extra red pepper flakes or fresh herbs if desired.
